Our human existences are governed by a number of laws. One of them, perhaps the most well-known, is called the law of attraction. This law states that we attract what we vibrate. The corollary of this law is that we can place orders with the Universe by “vibrating” what we desire. Whether we believe it or not, whether we consciously use this law or not, it does not change the fact that it acts at every moment. It is the one that distributes the roles in the grand theater of our lives so that we become aware of who we are and of our power. When an unpleasant situation repeats in our lives, it is only the Universe reflecting back to us, like a mirror, an unconscious feeling that exists within us so that we can become aware of it.
My experience with this law
It is on this law that I unconsciously relied for years to successfully carry out my expeditions. Before each trip, my entire body and all its aspects were focused on its objective, and everything I did in my daily life contributed to its realization. That does not mean I was free from doubt or fear of failure; on the contrary, I listened to the messages my emotions sent me to better prepare myself. However, I never let my fears decide for me, that decision-making role being reserved for my intuition.
It took me several years to accumulate a series of synchronicities and increasingly improbable coincidences, crucial to the success of my expeditions, for me to become aware of the existence of this law of attraction. Subsequently, it took me a few more years to learn to consciously use this law in various aspects of my life.
During my last expedition “The Footprint”, I used visualizations during the 4 years of preparation for this crossing of Europe. During my training, I imagined myself on the paths traveling with nothing, as if I were there. And regularly, I saw myself at the end of my journey on a beach by the Black Sea, as if the journey had been completed and I could now rest. It is the law of attraction that allowed me to attract everything I needed on a daily basis.
How does the law of attraction work?
“All organisms, all materials, and all bodies, whatever they may be, emit information, frequencies, radiations, thus influencing their environment. Our cells act as transmitters-receivers, true oscillating circuits; they emit and receive waves and can tune into a specific wave.” Gérard Grenet, urban shaman
Some of the vibrational information that our cells receive reaches our consciousness in the form of intuition, dreams, visions, voices, etc. It is often through our emotions, these sensations of our body that we need to learn to listen to and interpret, that we perceive these messages from the Universe that guide us. This implies having resolved our emotional wounds to be well attuned (read on this subject “The 5 Wounds of the Soul” and “Listen to Your Body” by Lise Bourbeau) and to wisely interpret the emotions we feel. Dowsing, using a pendulum, makes it possible to amplify the waves we receive so that we can be more sensitive to them.
One of the many advantages of cleansing the body with Living Nutrition, fasting, purges and hygienic practices is to cleanse the interstitial and intracellular fluids. Clean fluids allow cells to function better and also to better capture and emit information through waves. Our orders to the Universe then become more powerful.
How to attract what we want?
Everything we feel, all our intentions, and everything we think generates waves through our cells. Our unconscious also sends its messages, but we cannot directly know their nature. The law of attraction states that in return for these vibrational emissions (which form an equation between the conscious and the unconscious), we receive life situations on the same wavelength. Hence the double benefit of feeling good in our bodies, having “positive” thoughts guided by good intentions. Without neglecting meditation, introspection, personal development tools, and psychodynamic readings, which are very good tools for expanding the field of our consciousness so that the unconscious (the uncontrolled part of the vibrational equation) is reduced to a minimum. This is “the secret” to attracting what we want. The more what we want aligns with what we vibrate, the more the law of attraction will work in our favor.
In addition to the unconscious, our body is composed of three main wave emitters: The head (what we want), the heart (what we wish), and the gut (what we desire). If these three emitters are aligned on the same frequency (the same intention), then our power of attraction will be multiplied. However, if only the head emits the signal of what we want to see manifest in matter while the body (whether the heart or the gut) does not vibrate on the same wavelength, for example due to fear, then the law of attraction will not manifest in the expected way. It is important that the body and mind vibrate as if what we expect is already there. Otherwise, by allowing ourselves to be overwhelmed by fear, doubt, or any other negative emotion, we attract exactly what we fear.
The power of thought
Although thought is not the determining element of the law of attraction, it does have the power to act at all levels of our existence:
- at the internal level: on our feelings and emotions
- at the external level: on our words, actions, and environment
Thought is an interface between our inner world and the outer world that we will use to align our emotions, words, and actions with our intentions in order to fully vibrate what we want to attract to ourselves.
Thoughts are of two natures; they can be “structuring,” also called “positive,” or “de-structuring,” also called “negative.” Positive thoughts promote the living (they decrease Entropy) unlike negative thoughts. Hence the importance of controlling our thoughts to not poison our existence.
Furthermore, we now know that thoughts have the power to influence the future (cf works of Philippe Guillemant) provided they are accompanied by a feeling of love. Our thoughts, if accompanied by a feeling of love, also have a beneficial action at a distance on people, animals, plants, and, more generally, on the living.
How can positive thoughts change our lives at all levels?
In the diagram below, the principles of positive thinking are drawn from the 4 agreements of Toltec wisdom and sacred texts. The list of proposed tools is not exhaustive and can be interchanged within the different elements of the internal and external world.
At the emotional level:
Our emotions can be “positive” and manifest: joy, happiness, peace, love, trust, well-being, Optimal Health, etc.
Our emotions can be “negative” and manifest: fear, anxiety, anger, depression, psychosomatic illnesses, etc.
Our emotions influence the quality of our feelings and thoughts.
Thought can positively affect our emotions through the practice of:
- Energy anchoring (to feel safe in our bodies)
- Conscious breathing
- Hypnosis
At the level of feelings:
Our feelings can be “positive” and manifest: compassion, sympathy, love, friendship, security, trust, reconciliation, Optimal Health, etc.
Our feelings can be “negative” and manifest: hatred, anger, enmity, indifference, resentment, criticism, psychosomatic illnesses, etc.
Our feelings influence the quality of our emotions and thoughts.
Thought can positively affect our feelings through:
- The practice of meditation
- Developing unconditional love
At the mental level:
Our thoughts can be “positive” and manifest: joy, happiness, peace, love, security, trust, well-being, Optimal Health, creativity, compassion, etc.
Our thoughts can be “negative” and manifest: judgment, fear, anxiety, anger, depression, psychosomatic illnesses, etc.
Negative thoughts create self-enchantment and determine our words and actions (which, in turn, determine our environment).
Thought can positively affect itself:
- By cultivating positive thoughts
- By learning to let go
At the level of communication:
Our words can be “positive” and manifest: encouragement, joy, peace, security, love, trust, reconciliation, soothing, etc.
Our words can be “negative” and manifest: judgment, criticism, doubt, insult, provocation, anxiety, anger, fear, etc.
Communication determines the quality of our human relationships.
Thought can positively affect our words through:
- Learning Nonviolent Communication
In terms of our actions:
Free will has been given to us to choose our: actions, readings, acquaintances, food, work, sports, hobbies, hygienic practices or their absence, etc.
Our actions can be ‘positive’ and lead to: health, abundance, satisfaction, joy, peace, security, love, trust, reconciliation, soothing, etc.
Our actions can be ‘negative’ and lead to: diseases, poverty, hostility, judgment, criticism, doubt, anxiety, anger, fear, etc.
Our actions influence the following parameters: quality of life, health, sleep, breathing, our social relationships, body postures, facial expressions, mood, etc.
Thought can positively influence our actions by:
- The decision to adopt hygienic practices
- The decision to use personal development tools
In terms of our environment:
A ‘positive’ environment brings: joy of living, abundance, prosperity, trust, security, creativity, success, love, peace, faith, etc. A ‘negative’ environment brings: fear, hatred, doubt, failure, violence, conflict, ignorance, war, disease, etc.
Our words and actions shape the environment we create and the life scenarios we experience, whether chosen or endured.
Thought can positively influence our environment by:
- the natural consequences that arise from a positive evolution of our emotions, feelings, thoughts, words, and actions.
The interdependence between all these levels:
It is important to note a phenomenon of interdependence between all these levels. Our thoughts are influenced by our emotions and feelings on one hand, as well as by our experiences, readings, reflections, and our environment on the other hand. If we do not use our free will to interrupt this karmic cycle (or law of cause and effect), we will feel as if we have no control over our destiny. It is important to understand that: ‘We are solely responsible for our experiences, both for their occurrence and for how we manage them and the interpretation we give them,’ as Thierry Janssen writes in ‘Does Illness Have a Meaning?’
The solution to guide ourselves where we want in life is to become aware of the power of our thoughts and to change our habits using the tools mentioned above and the books and films suggested at the end of this article.
How to cultivate positive thoughts?
One of the goals of this article is to convince you of the importance of having as many positive thoughts as possible in order to create the life you dream of and that is good for you.
To do this, the practice consists of:
- Identifying negative thoughts and beliefs
- No longer feeding negative thoughts
- No longer verbally expressing negative thoughts
- No longer engaging in negative actions
- Transmuting negative beliefs
However, this does not mean considering that everything is beautiful in life, allowing oneself to be walked on, and preventing oneself from experiencing emotions. On the contrary, positive thinking consists of making oneself a priority and expressing (in a non-violent way) one’s needs and limits, while fully accepting oneself as one is (cf the film at the bottom of the page ‘Self-Acceptance’). It also involves becoming aware of everything that is going well in our life and in the world rather than focusing on what is not going well. As we theoretically know from the work of Japanese Masaru Emoto on the memory of water, positive thoughts structure matter and are good for health, while negative thoughts act as real poisons in our body. So the best way to feel good is to cultivate positive thoughts.
Initially, it is important to identify one’s negative thoughts and beliefs, for this here are some questions to ask yourself:
- What erroneous belief is acting in my life and causing me to experience things as I do?
- What have been my first challenges in life, my main problems?
- What was the greatest fear of my inner child?
- What is the most recurring pattern in my personal relationships?
- What is the greatest self-sabotage pattern in my life?
- What should I do to add a touch of madness and adventure to my life?
- What should I do to make a significant difference in life?
- What is the greatest fear that prevents me from realizing my true potential in life?
- In my most difficult relationship, what aspects of X reflect back to me?
Secondly, it is important to cultivate positive thoughts and transmute any ‘negative’ attitude into ‘positive’:
- By projecting positive thoughts, focusing on what is going well rather than on what is not.
- By establishing joy guards, that is to say, rituals that feel good.
- By forbidding oneself to doubt.
- By chasing away any thought of fear, criticism, or lack of love the moment they cross the mind.
- By breathing deeply, dark thoughts hate oxygen.
- By smiling instead of grimacing, even if one doesn’t feel like it.
- By having a tender gesture rather than annoyance.
- By preferring silence to a retort in case of conflict.
- By forcing oneself to have positive words, replacing the quarrelsome word with a word that brings peace.
- By forcing oneself to take positive actions.
- etc
It is by allowing or forcing oneself to have new experiences that modify our conditioned habits (in reaction) that we manage to change our neural chains (engrams) and, little by little, to change ourselves. Even if we force ourselves at first, gradually these new habits will become natural and transform us. We realize that the external attitude affects our inner feeling. We then become proactive rather than reactive, truly taking our life into our own hands.
The last tool consists of transmuting our negative or limiting beliefs (which feed our unconscious) into positive beliefs. To do this, we repeat affirmations and visualize them during reprogramming meditations. We use the same tools that conditioned us during our childhood: repetition and autosuggestion. Except this time we choose the beliefs that will do us good. Our beliefs determine what we can or cannot do, because everything we are capable of imagining we can achieve. And the more we trust ourselves, the stronger the law of attraction will be.
How to reprogram oneself?
- Repeat positive phrases in a loop during meditation. We choose phrases that correspond to what we want to feel, who we want to be, what we want to receive, what we want to succeed in, etc.
- Visualize what we want, who we want to become, engaging all our senses in the visualization.
- Feel the emotions corresponding to the positive phrases repeated as if the happy event had already occurred in our life.
The positive phrases should be short, simple, affirmative, and thus without negation. The stronger the emotions born from the visualization, the more efficient the command to the Universe will be.
Some key phrases to develop positive thoughts taken from the book ‘Happiness is Within You’
- Wrap yourself in love for all beings, oppose silence to provocation, and nothing will prevail against you; where you are, peace will be. And forgive, for forgiveness is one of the greatest strengths available to us.
- Make your inner world the owner’s tour, uproot all the negations. Take your usual thoughts one by one, and ask yourself: “Do I want this thought to flourish?” If yes, water it, encourage it with constant affirmations. If no, uproot it quickly. Do not allow any thoughts of disaster to substitute within you, both for yourself and for others. Fear of not being loved: uproot. Fear of not succeeding: uproot.
