“For, truly, no one can reach the heavenly father except through the earthly mother.”
The Essene Gospel - Living in Harmony with the Universe - Volume 1
Unlike the majority of articles on Living Nutrition & lifestyle that I have written so far, this one is not primarily based on factual observations, common sense, scientific and experimental results, but mainly on my feelings & intuition (see the video above). Even though the claims presented here do not stem from a scientific approach, they are nonetheless based on tangible facts that can be reproduced by anyone willing to try Living Nutrition and detoxify their body to embrace “the earthly mother.”
My journey from atheist math teacher to living explorer passionate about mantras
Until I was 30, I was shaped by my atheist upbringing, my scientific studies (master’s and teaching degree in mathematics). Even though I always had my head in the stars with my passion for astronomy, I was a genuine stubborn Cartesian. When it came to anything related to spirituality and, more generally, to all phenomena that are neither visible nor measurable, I would at best respond with derision, if not contempt. My awareness on these subjects was on the same wavelength as current mainstream media. There was only one breach in this ready-made thinking: I allowed myself to believe in the existence of my lucky star. Mainly because the expression is well-known and can be heard in society without being seen as mystical, but also due to the incredible luck I experienced whenever I traveled. A “luck” that, on several occasions, saved my life. At that time, in 2014, I had already crossed the Italian Alps by bike, completed a tour of Romania by mountain bike, finished a tour of Lozère on foot, crossed Switzerland on foot via a 4000m peak, and traversed Norway by bike and on foot from Oslo to North Cape (see the book “First Expeditions”).
At that time in my life, I was a self-employed lumberjack after being a math teacher. Despite all these successful expeditions, my physical and psychological health was at its lowest. I had suffered from depression, allergies, myopia, skin problems, and sciatica for several years. In July 2014, a few months after successfully starting barefoot running to heal my sciatica (see the article “Why Barefoot?”), I was kayaking down the Loire when I suffered a severe sunstroke that cut my desire to eat for a week. Following this experience that changed the course of my life (see the article “Why I Took Off My Shoes and Changed My Diet?”) overnight, I switched from an omnivorous diet to an exclusively plant-based diet with 80% raw (see the article “Why Eat Living Food?”). Following these dietary changes, in the months that followed, I opened up, like a flower, to the practice of yoga, meditation, cold baths, and conscious breathing.
In 2015, my health problems being resolved thanks to these lifestyle changes (see the article “What is Hygienism?”), I was able to embark on my greatest expedition: America Extrema (see the travel account), the solo crossing of North America without motorized means, from its eastern tip to its western tip. 12,000 km by bike, on foot, on skis, and by kayak through the boreal forest. It was during these 15 months of adventures that new supernatural experiences once again changed the course of my life.
Two experiences in particular marked me. The first took place at the end of winter 2015-2016 while I was undertaking a world first: the solo and unmotorized crossing of the Mackenzie Mountains in winter (see the video below). This mountain range located below the Arctic Circle is as large as Switzerland and is completely uninhabited. The remarkable originality of this expedition, aside from its unprecedented nature, is that I set out with only ⅔ of the food rations necessary to survive for two months in this region where temperatures can drop below -40°C. It’s not that I intended to fast; I simply lacked the necessary space in the sled I was pulling behind me. But my intuition (a breach of the acute Cartesianism I suffered from), which I had gradually learned to listen to during my previous travels, told me not to worry about food and that everything would be fine. However, reality caught up with me, and inevitably, my supplies began to melt away like snow in the sun, just like my nascent and heretical faith (in the eyes of my upbringing) in my lucky star. The day I seriously began to worry about my fate, I fortuitously found, in the midst of these cold and austere mountains, a hunter’s cabin that had all the provisions (left abandoned) I needed to complete the crossing of the Mackenzie without starving or exhausting myself.

But it took more to break the armor of my conditioning, as life had in store for me an even more striking experience: that of the grizzly. It was a few months after the Mackenzie, in the spring of 2016, on a deserted island in Alaska. I had been traveling in grizzly territory for over a year, had encountered about ten of them, and had learned to live alongside them. Yet, I had no weapon or even pepper spray to defend myself; I simply trusted life. Moreover, I had made a deal with bears of all kinds: I don’t eat meat, and they, in return, don’t eat me. Except that one fine day, on this island, I felt an unusual fear towards them. As I had learned to pay attention to my intuition, I took this signal very seriously and, all day long, I heightened my vigilance to avoid surprising a bear around a bend or behind a bush. Because it is especially when they are surprised that they are dangerous, so I sang and made noise throughout the day. The end of the day came, and I spotted the fishermen’s cabin where I wanted to spend the night at the top of a hill. Soon, I would be safe behind walls, except that, strangely, a visceral fear continued to torment my insides. Yet, I only had a stream bordered by bushes to cross and a small hill to climb to be safe. So, out of caution, I paused before emerging from the bushes, telling myself, though not believing it, that there might be a bear behind. And there, to my left, I saw a female grizzly, and to my right, her cub. I would have walked into a deadly situation if, not warned by my intuition, I had emerged from those bushes without particular precautions. Subsequently, I tiptoed back before entering the cabin from another side of the hill. That night, which I will never forget, I could not sleep as realizations crowded my mind. The Cartesian I was faced the undeniable fact that a spirit or a benevolent entity, Philippe Guillemant (see “The Great Turn of Humanity”, unfortunately not yet translated to English) might say an information from the future, had communicated a premonition to me that, through my emotions, had saved my life. It is since this event that I opened up to spirituality and became aware that I could no longer continue living as if the world of the invisible did not exist (see the article “Are We Guided by Life?”).
I could cite many other paranormal experiences, which abound in my travel account “America Extrema”, which, when put together, allowed me to abandon my purely rational prism (worthy of BFMTV) to open up to what Philippe Guillemant calls (if I understood correctly) “complex thinking,” that is to say, the right balance between the mental and the emotional (see the diagram below by P. Guillemant). The spiritual opening I experienced may simply be due to the cycles and seasons of life or, as I believe, strongly favored by my dietary and lifestyle changes.
Four years later, in 2018, I felt like I was standing still in my life and I returned to the Mackenzie Mountains to undertake a long fast, an expedition I named “The Fasting Walk” (see the travel account) : 14 days of trekking and 360 km without eating. Upon my return, I met Miguel Barthéléry and Irène Grosjean who introduced me to the use of cleanses (see the article “Cleanses, the Keystone”) and that’s how I transitioned to 100% plant-based and raw with disconcerting ease, whereas for 4 years I had plateaued at 80%, even with the best will in the world. Once again, in just a few months, following the lightening of my diet and the use of these powerful detox techniques, I discovered new horizons & practices: Kundalini yoga & Tantra, Ayahuasca & Kambo ceremonies, magnetism & radiesthesia.
This listening to my feelings & intuition only strengthened in the following years so that in 2020, for my last great expedition, The Imprint (see the travel account), I was able to know, at first glance or sometimes even just by the sound of a voice, whether a person would help me in my quest for food and shelter. Many times my intuition has saved my life, and that is why I consider it an ally one cannot do without.
Nutrition and Vibrational Frequency
Since 2018, the year of The Fasting Walk, 6 years have passed without once wanting to go back, nor even to be tempted or influenced to eat foods that are not physiological (that is to say, plant-based and raw). In my mind, I have moved on, and nutrition is no longer a subject. Animal proteins are survival food, and cooked food is not food. And if today I do not commit what some call dietary “slips,” which I personally call staying aligned with my values, it is not out of fear of getting sick (see the article “Optimal Health”) but because my dear intuition whispers to me to act this way. Because it is not trivial to put anything and everything in one’s mouth, even occasionally. I feel a strong need for coherence on this subject, and it is important to me to embody what I advocate, not only because it brings me much joy but also to show that it is possible.“Be the change you want to see in the world” would say Gandhi.
Eating exclusively raw plant-based food does not represent a particular effort for me, especially since my social life has enriched with Living Nutrition while it was previously very limited. Moreover, when I see how much suffering the majority of humans experience at the end of their lives (even when they have not known junk food), I really do not want to seek compromises (Coluche would say compromise is due) with nutrition. Because I sincerely believe in a world where disease and its accompanying suffering, regardless of age, is no longer a fatality. A world where one no longer hides their ignorance of the laws of life behind false arguments such as bad luck or genetics. Hygienism (see the article “3H, the New Hygienism”) is not a trivial recipe to feel a little better but a philosophy that has the potential to revolutionize our way of feeling, thinking, and living.
More importantly than health, the experiences I have lived have led me to believe that nutrition & lifestyle greatly influence our vibrational frequency. I qualify this frequency as the degree of consciousness we have with our own body and with the rest of the universe, as one might talk about the quality of connection with a radio. The vibrational frequency refers to this ability of every living being to connect with the intelligence of life, to this cosmic guidance that pushes us to do what is right for us and the rest of the universe, when it does not simply save our lives (see the America Extrema expedition). Irène Grosjean (who is one of the few people to link nutrition and vibrational frequency) simply illustrates this phenomenon using a sketch of a neuron. These 100 billion (approximately) nerve cells that we possess are, individually, composed of an antenna, a decoder, and a cable (see the sketch below). One then better understands how the human body can be viewed as a large antenna made up of nerve cells. Therefore, the cleaner these cells and the liquids in which they bathe are, the better we receive. It is this detox mechanism of the cellular and humoral environment that, in my opinion, has greatly helped me to decondition from my rational beliefs, to the point of being ready to cross the Mackenzie Mountains without eating simply because my intuition dictated it, and to open up to concepts that science does not yet explain (see the article “Are We Guided by Life?”).
For these reasons, the ideal diet for everyone should generally become increasingly physiological year after year. An 80% living nutrition (from a caloric point of view) may initially seem enormous, but after a few years, one will reach a plateau where detoxification will stop. More than an arbitrary percentage, for each person, the right diet is one that is less intoxicating than the liquids in which the cells are bathed. Detoxification can thus take place (through a simple osmotic mechanism) and the terrain can be cleansed, allowing nerve cells to better capture the vibrational information emitted by life and the cosmos.
Lifestyle, one of the gateways to spirituality
Reconnecting with one’s feelings and instincts, cultivating the listening of one’s intuition and emotions, better knowing oneself, and maintaining a high level of energy and consciousness. According to my experience, this is where the main interest of living nutrition (i.e., plant-based and raw) lies. The health benefits are collateral benefits and they lead to many disillusionments (at least in the short term) if that is our primary motivation.
Over the past 6 years, I have had mentors from whom I received teachings, and I have also met inspiring people who have given me insights, listening, or support. But fundamentally, I do not know what therapists & therapies are. What I have experienced are “living” therapies, those that life offers us every day through the experience of incarnation.
I have known three main living therapies, and I even gave them names: “America Extrema”; “The Fasting Walk” and “The Imprint”; my 3 greatest journeys. I needed nothing less than, in contact with nature and the elements, to remove the thickest layers of conditioning, detoxify my body, reconnect with spirituality, and bring childhood traumas to the surface of consciousness.
I believe that only nature and reconnecting with our true nature can heal us. Heal us from what? From absolutely everything that prevents us from expressing our divine nature and the energy of love that resides in each of our cells. In hindsight, I see hygienism as a simple method to cultivate this bond of love between us and nature & the elements. It is the quality of this bond that heals much more than our daily lifestyle because it is above all the intention behind our actions that is decisive. It is perhaps for this reason that science gets lost in its calculations of nutrients and that all dogmatic attempts fail.

“But let us not be mistaken; this is not a scheme related to a cold awareness, nor is it a method. It resembles much more a musical score according to which the human heart can relearn to sing. It is the notion of Love that underlies this writing, a love that cannot be limited to the observation of a few hygienist rules. Indeed, along the pages that follow, horizons unfold in which the health of the body and the health of the soul naturally merge.”
Daniel Meurois on the Essene Gospel - Living in Harmony with the Universe - Volume 1
The conclusions of the experiments I have conducted are that the more one eats living food and the more one cleanses their body of toxins, the higher their vibrational frequency rises. This is often what poses a problem because it is not always easy to remain in certain places and with certain people if one does not lower their vibrational frequency with non-physiological food. That said, life has amused itself by making me meet very “connected” people (often in the shamanic field) with a deplorable lifestyle, proof that hygienism is not the only way to raise one’s vibration. We probably needed to meet to inspire each other. This allowed them to consider lifestyle more, and me, to relativize it.
How to raise your vibrational frequency through diet and detox?
"The flesh of slaughtered animals will become your own tomb. You shall not eat anything that a fire hotter than the fire of life has cooked, otherwise Satan will take possession of your being."
The Essene Gospel - Living in Harmony with the Universe - Volume 1
- Reduce animal products as much as possible. Through the acidic toxins generated by their digestion and the suffering these animals endure, one is permeated by the energy of death of these tortured beings when consuming their flesh.
- Reduce cooked food as much as possible. Through the sticky toxins (starch and casein) and toxic (Maillard molecules) generated by heat (beyond 42°C), cooked food stifles feelings and emotions, this language of the body that speaks to our consciousness.
- Limit raw food, always with the aim of lightening digestion, which takes up to 50% of our vital energy and also leaves indigestible residues when food combinations are not physiological (see the article “Food Combinations”) Practice intermittent fasting (i.e., eating within an 8-hour window), as the less time spent digesting, the better.
- Energize with vegetable juices, fruits as single foods (not mixed), and by limiting fat (even plant-based).
- Drink only liquids (juice cleanse of vegetables and/or fruits)
- Fast (see the article “Hormesis through Fasting”)
More generally, all practices that increase vital energy and help the body detoxify will raise the vibrational frequency. Among these natural practices, we can mention:
- Breathwork (see the article “Meditate and Breathe”)
- Hormesis (see the article “The Law of Hormesis”)
- Yoga
- Hydrotherapy
- Heliotherapy
- Forest therapy
- Massages
- Energy healing (see for more information)
The expression of the Essene Gospels “embracing the earth mother through her angels” – those of the sun, water, air, earth, life & joy – then takes on its full meaning when we observe that it is the natural elements that are best able to help the body to rejoice.
Conclusion
For some people, the transition to living nutrition and associated detox can be crucial for opening up to the world of the invisible, reconnecting with their feelings, emotions, instincts, intuition, and cultivating a spiritual life. That said, our vibrational frequency does not depend exclusively on our lifestyle even if it has an influence. The practice of meditation, chanting mantras, certain awakenings or life experiences with their cycles, studying sacred texts or certain sciences related to understanding the psyche, certain healing & experiences that awaken the soul, spending time in nature, etc., also raise this vibrational frequency despite humoral and cellular pollution.
“Even if I speak the language of men and angels, if I do not have love, I am like a sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. Even if I predict the future, know all secrets, even if I have faith strong as a storm capable of moving mountains, if I do not have love, I am nothing. Even if I distribute all my goods to the poor and give them all that I have received from my father, if I do not have love, I gain nothing, nor wisdom.”
The Essene Gospel - Living in Harmony with the Universe - Volume 1
Living nutrition is a means and not an end to get closer to the “heavenly father.” Experience has shown me that all those who focused on lifestyle (diet and detox) while underestimating the emotional and spiritual planes (which are indeed shaken by dietary transition) have hit a wall. Cultivating mindfulness, unconditional love, gratitude, joy, and peace through the practice of service, forgiveness, sincerity of heart, honesty of mind, detachment, etc., is the life path that should never be lost sight of, regardless of our dietary beliefs or others. For all these reasons, energetic hygiene is just as important as dietary hygiene, and that will be the subject of my next article!
