ABOUT THE RECIPE
A smooth, flavorful, and incredibly simple sauce to make, perfect for pairing with raw vegetables, topping zucchini noodles, or enhancing salad sushi.
Depending on the ingredients you choose, it can be made in a sweeter version (with dates) or a richer, fattier version (with sesame butter).
INGREDIENTS (FOR ONE PERSON)
- 1 large red Bell pepper
- 2 tbsp barley grass powder
- 2 tbsp dried seaweed or dried mushrooms
- 6 pitted Date
or - 1 tsp Tahini
- A few centiliters of water
Preparation
- Cut the bell pepper into chunks and place it in the blender with all the other ingredients, except the water.
- Blend while gradually adding the water until you achieve a smooth, creamy, and even consistency.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl or directly over your vegetables.
Tips
- This pepper spread makes an excellent alternative to bolognese sauce over zucchini or cucumber noodles.
- You can vary the flavors by changing the seaweed or dried mushrooms: each variation brings its own unique character.
- And as always: meals are even better when they begin with a moment of gratitude 😉
