About the Recipe
Palak Pacuit is inspired by the famous Indian dish Palak Paneer, made with spinach and fresh cheese. Here is a raw, plant-based version that is nutritious, creamy, and beneficial for gut health.
Ingredients for One Person
- 250 g fresh spinach
- 1/2 tomato
- A few basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons of seawater
- Optional: a pinch of chili pepper
Preparation
Place the spinach leaves, basil, seawater, and tomato in a blender. If necessary, chop the ingredients into smaller pieces to make blending easier, but do not add any water. Blend until smooth and creamy.
This preparation can be enjoyed on its own or used as a creamy sauce to accompany your favorite raw vegetables: tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, sprouts, etc.
Tips
- Add half a mango, including the skin if edible, for a sweeter, milder version.
- Add half an avocado for a richer, creamier version.
- Since tastes and needs vary from person to person, feel free to adjust the quantities according to your preferences and what feels right for you.
- For a more authentic Indian flavor, replace the basil with garlic, onion, ginger, and curry powder.
- Food always tastes better after a moment of gratitude! 😉
